BBQ Chicken is one meal that you know everyone is going to love. This recipe is great for those that are intimidated by the grill or simply don’t have access to one!
BBQ sauce(optional - homemade or your favorite store bought - I used Noble Made)
¼ cupyellow mustard
Instructions
Add the rub ingredients (coconut sugar, paprika, garlic powder, kosher salt, pepper, onion powder, and cumin) to a small bowl and stir to combine.
Coat the chicken with a layer of mustard and then cover with the rub, using your hands to incorporate. I like to let the chicken sit in the fridge with the rub overnight but if you don’t have the time you can skip this step.
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Add the chicken to a sheet pan, skin-side down, and bake for 20 minutes.
Flip and bake for another 20 minutes.
If you’re using BBQ sauce, baste the chicken in the sauce and bake for another 5 minutes. I prefer it without the sauce because this rub is so yummy but you do you!
