I don’t know what we’re going to eat after church when tomato season is over!! This has been the staple for the last month thanks to my parent’s garden heirloom tomatoes 🍅🍅🍅
Recipe (for 2 sandwiches):
1 large heirloom tomato
4 slices of fresh bread of your choice
2 large or a few small pieces of lettuce
good grass-fed butter (we love @kerrygoldusa)
mayo (@dukes_mayonnaise is the best!!)
salt and pepper
4 pieces of bacon
Cook your bacon however you prefer. I bake mine at 375 for 15 minutes. Slice your tomatoes 1/4 inch thick and season generously with salt and pepper. Butter one side of 4 pieces of bread. Toast in a pan over medium-high heat, butter-side down, for 1-2 minutes until it reaches your desired toastiness. When ready to assemble, spread your mayo and add lettuce, tomatoes, and bacon. Slice and DEVOUR!!🍞🥬🍅🥓
