Ingredients for Chocolate Strawberry Overnight Oats

One look at your pantry and you likely have a lot of these ingredients on hand. Here’s what you’ll need for one of my favorite breakfasts.

Ingredients for Protein Chocolate Strawberry Overnight Oats - Olivia Adriance
  • Rolled Oats: These types of oats soak up the nut milk and still stay chewy. Look for gluten-free if that’s of concern to you.
  • Unsweetened Almond Milk: Any type of nut milk will do. If I’m buying store-bought, I look for one without any added sugars or unnecessary gums. @malkorganics and @threetreesfoods are two of my go-to brands.

  • Chocolate Protein Powder: A scoop of chocolate protein powder is one way to make breakfast more appealing! I like @truvani chocolate plant-based protein powder.
  • Hemp Seeds: These seeds may be small, but they are mighty: three tablespoons have about 10 grams of protein!
  • Almond Butter: Nut butters are a good source of healthy fats and have a decent amount of protein in them, too! Choose any type that you like.
  • Vanilla Extract: This gives the oats just a little something-something!
  • Maple Syrup: A bit of sweetness. You can adjust this to your preference.
  • Sea Salt: Counterbalances the sweeter elements.
  • Strawberries: Full of antioxidants, strawberries are good for immunity, skin radiance, and digestion. Any type of fruit will work here, but it will, of course, switch up the flavor profile.

How to Make Chocolate Strawberry Overnight Oats

This recipe couldn’t be any easier! Add all of the ingredients (oats, almond milk, protein powder, hemp seeds, almond butter, vanilla extract, maple syrup, sea salt, and chopped strawberries) to a glass container and stir until thoroughly combined.

Cover the glass container with a lid or plastic wrap.

Place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Uncover and enjoy!
